9th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) At noon today, an alarming incident unfolded outside Shek Lei St. John’s Catholic Primary School in Kwai Chung when a handcart caught fire. The blaze quickly escalated, sending thick smoke billowing towards the school premises, causing distress among students.

Eyewitnesses described the flames as fierce, with the smoke rapidly engulfing the area, creating a hazardous environment for those nearby. Approximately 18 students were affected, with many experiencing discomfort believed to be due to inhaling the toxic fumes.
