9th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) At 7.26am today, police received reports of a person floating in the water approximately 10 metres offshore from 18 Wai Man Road in Sai Kung. The marine police and firefighters promptly responded to the scene, where they recovered an 86-year-old woman, who was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. Officers covered her body with a green tarpaulin. No suicide note was found, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
